Can’t open the page on my phone and never heard it before. Is it like the Osmaniya script that no one ever used? Thanks Sxb, I will check it when I get home.

Sxb, I’m not @ War with the Ethiopians, actually my best friends are Ethiopians and I consider them as family. What’ve they done to you to be @ war with them? Some political wars that happened between the two countries some 50 years ago?
Yes exactly that also they're ethiopians and they're getting annoying as hell wanna do something about it?:bell:

"The antiquity and the originality of the Somali calendar is further supported by the belief that the ancient Eastern Cushitics, to which the Somalis belong, developed a sophisticated calendar based on detailed astronomical knowledge by the first millennium BCE (Before Common Era). Researchers have studied the archeo-astronomical nature of two megalithic sites on the southwest part of Lake Turkana, northwest of present Kenya."

It was also used by mostly farmers and herders to determinate the weather and seasons.

We all know why Osmanya never became official and that was because Siad barre repressed it and pushed for Latin which is a failure.

Meet and talk to them in a calm and rational way and you might change your perception about them. Neither Siyad Barre and nor Mengistu cared about their people, but both managed to plant a seed of hatred between the two people. It’s time to move on and build trust and friendship between the two people.

Happy New year:it0tdo8: @xabashi We Ethiopians need to cherish this moment as the collapse of our country is imminent. Soon you'll need a Visa to visit Ogadenia but don't worry we will only accept applications from beautiful Amahara women such as yourself:trumpsmirk:

Let's build a friendship with a bunch of Ethiopians on a Somali forum. That's gonna solve everything right?:gladbron:

Thanks, until then let us enjoy our diversity, my Ethiopian brother.

Interesting and thanks Sxb. I think the Osmaniya script is complex and would cost a lot of resources to implement it than the Latin version. The Latin version also makes it easier for one to learn foreign languages written in Latin. How come no one attempted to implement the calendar? When was it written and who invented it? Any relevance of year zero (when it started)?

It was one of the first calenders with 365 days a year, its creation was 1st millennium BC. Im still reading more about why it was never implemented.
