Highly unlikely since both Somaliland and Xamar have a much lower GDP per capita than Puntland according to the World Bank. Puntland is arid yet it exports vegetables to a semi arid region so that's worth mentioning.Like factz said its inferiority complex. But what will happen when the South accesses the huge levels of farmland, farming would be many times cheaper than in the north forcing folk to leave the sector. When it comes to food in the future, it will be from the South.
It would always be cheaper and better quality when grown in ur region. Paying drivers, truck owners , taxes from various regions and it takes days to deliver compared to fresh stuff delivered straight to the market from the farm. We now know PL can grow stuff, the next step is promote farming and leave unsustainable nomadic lifestyle.
