But Somalis have their own cultural identity and way of life, that's different than most Black people. Due to this, there's no point in maintaining a connection. We should support ourselves, and separate from them and maintain our own identity. We should focus on education and getting professional careers. We should shame and disown every Somali that adheres to hood life and culture. We should build strong expectations for Somali marriages, to motivate the youth to succeed, while in the same time, shaming acts that can be practically seen as pathetic.
Considering ourselves black will not help us. I love black people and got no beef with any of them, but we need to focus on ourselves only. That's my belief.

I completely disagree. Black culture in America is currently degenerate but that doesn't mean it always was. MLK, Marcus Garvey, and Malcolm X made black culture one of the greatest cultures in the world. Black people under those leaders were extremely disciplined and looked down on degenerate behavior. Crackers took down all their leaders and continue to take down the newer leaders and this is how the degenerate culture began. This degenerate culture isn't black culture but cracker approved culture.
