Sure, infidelity happens, but paternity tests would never take off mainstream. At worst, there are rare and extraordinary incidents that are catalysts to his actually demanding one. At "best", if there is no conflict, the guy would remain oblivious to it. But generally speaking, men find it trivial to walk away from children when they are their own flesh and blood, so a man demanding a paternity test from his wife has as good as stepped out of the union without a shadow of a doubt anyway.
I will ask my wife for a second wife at best if it comes to it and i feel tempted to cheat. It's better to be open in your relationship to your spouse then to cheat on them. Also i think in this day and age three things are a must for a man before he gets married. Paternity test, pre-nup and aids test. If they fail in all three categories then ditch them.
