Since the age of 16 i've worked in at least 7 different jobs and my life has always revolved around money. I once worked 6 days a week straight for 6 months because i wanted to save for a 3 series which i ended up selling after 3 years. :wowsweat:

Now that i've been a professional for some time, i'm really disliking where my career is headed. The only option is Management level and that sounds like torture. God forbid i become those pestering PM's who have to set objectives for people, chase them up constantly and still carry out my duties as a BA.

I've saved enough to go travelling for a year but i know 1 year is incredibly short. Has anyone ever embarked on a similar journey?

I know the future is investment and earning residual income. But there's only so much of a 9-5 one can hack to save for an investment until health and time is completely sacrificed.

I noticed i feel completely at rest working in manual jobs like construction. I enjoyed spending the last 2 summers at my mechanic friends garage - not only is it physically fulfilling, you don't suffer from the mental anxiety of deadlines and the constant critical thinking, but more importantly, you build real relationships with customers and money wise, in a week you can make more cash-in-hand than what some firms pay you monthly after tax. Once a customers heating system had broke, turns out it was a broken Motor Resistor, i simply ordered a new one for 20 quid and installed it for him, charged him 80 quid for a 15 min job. :drakekidding:

The 9-5 is a farce people. Stay away from it.

9-5 is the worst.

I suggest you travel to South America or South Asia.

South America? You trying to get me robbed and killed?

I need a safe place with good weather, good beaches and cheap goods and services. Preferably non Europe.

I have Morroco, Tanzania and India on my list so far.

Some parts of South America are safe.

India is where you go to get Hep A.

Why don't you to to Somalia and then go to a safari in neighboring countries? Limited expenses, good weather and you can relax.

The only family i have in Xamar is one adeer and his family who is a high ranking official in NISA. Risky business wallahi. When i was there few years back they got death threats and random calls most weeks. Can't be associated with that. Some other qaraabo in Galmudug but i don't need tuulo life right now.

India is developing at a massive rate sxb. Especially Goa and Pune, the Sub continent Silicon Valley.

Kenya is ok. Not much different to Tanzania i'm assuming.

I know what you mean exactly...we pray for a dream job but then don't take into account the stress and accountability that comes with it

I find myself desiring simpler times..it's hard to travel without taking a sabbatical tbh and if you have the chance you may as well do it now when you're young and free. 1 year is plenty of time, are you serious lmao
You could go to every continent in that time if well planned

How is India safe?

You casn live in the Phillipines for a quarter of the cost of the UK for a year. Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand are also cheap and good options too.
Cheap food, cheap rent, cheap everything. Warm weather and nice beaches too.

Sounds like you need a spiritual sabbatical if anything, that tuulo in Galmudug would do you wonders in that case

Much more so then the same old infinite chase of vain worldly pursuits that leave you emptier just like that status symbol car you bought while breaking your back for it.

My advice would be to do your Hajj first then put your valuable skills to work doing volunteer/charity work in Somalia.

I'm open to a Muslim country, just not Somalia. Maybe in 10 years.

I want to travel to mongolia but none of my friends are down for it lol. You planning to travel solo?

Yeah but i have connects in the countries i plan to visit. It's worth having at least 1 person you know that lives there.

Why do you have a picture of James Corden as your dp

I love his sense of humour. Proper stand up guy.
