Take you own advice you Korean washed somali.Me and my sister were literally just discussing this yesterday and how Somali's in the west should be more like the Greeks living in the UK. Greek parents here take their kids to Greek school to learn how to read and write in Somali, they also learn Greek history and have events where they do Greek dancing and have festivals certain times of the years.
It's a really good way to keep intact with their culture, all the Greek kids at my school used to talk about it and how they looked forward to certain events and classes. It wasn't looked at a embarrassing, freshy thing to do, this could help our community and give Somali boys something else to do other than join gangs and hip hop culture.
I used to do Somali classes myself in my primary school for a while, a local well educated Somali adeer used to visit local schools and teacher Somali to kids for 1 hour of the day. It really helped.
I wouldn't want us Somalis to end up like the white washed Jamaicans
