Basically my mother chose that we shouldn’t live near a lot of somali.. to understand where she comes from I have to tell you we did live in a city full of Somalia till I was 3 so I don’t remember but my brothers do and my mom saw a lot of the older kids who went to our dugsi drinking and selling drugs in the dugsi, subhanallah. So she feared we would eventually become like them so she moved to a small town and my two aunts followed her with their families and I am so happy she did because a lot of the kids from the old dugsi are in prison or on welfare

Your mom make sense, I used to live in Upstate New York in a low income apartments, there was 400 Somalis so they chose to be close to each other.
Just one kid started smoking weed and and it spread like a wild fire, with in a year, all Somali kids from 13-18 turned into stoners, on top of that they started selling to each other and others, some of them are in Jail now sad.

Your mom is smart You integrate better and learn the language in the country better when you live in an area with none or less Somalis thats a fact

Messed up someone would sell drugs in a dugsi

Sxb welcome.

Somalis used to say 'jarmal baa dhekhtar u adaa' because doctors there are so good. Do you see somalis go there for doctors?

Tell me where most old school somali Germans live. Is there like a part of a city they live in? Are makhayads. Neighbourhoods?

As a kid did you wish you lived some where with more somali.

Did you witness the mass exodus to britain or was you to young lol?

I know there many new comers now. How do you get along with em?

A lot of Somalis come here for doctors appointments like so many.. but i feel like it died down.
The most old school Somalis live in Bonn well at least so I heard.. but I’ve never seen a makhayad tbh.
No I never wished to live with more Somalis. When we used to visit family in other cities or countries where they lived in a somali neighborhood and I’m not kidding they’ve always had drama like somali fighting other Somalis. We always loved seeing Somalis and we didn’t know that some qabils don’t get along at all.
I’ve heard that I lot of somali who lived in the Netherlands and Germany moved to Britain but that all

asc fellow german somali :2tjlv3e:

what city are you from? I used to live in a very quiet outer town in Koln. I also didn't know any Somalis other that me , my siblings and my parents until I moved to Britain. Used to only see Somalis when we used to take trips to Bonn or Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Do you ever wish to leave or do you like it there?

Wcs,
I don’t want to leave because I want to meet more somali but the fact it is just a really small town like more like a village everybody knows everybody.

I think Norwegians are similar to Germans.

Are they less talkative?

Are they insistent on rules and law?

Do they love to recycle trash in different colored bags?

Is the architecture lacking good taste of style?

Is the local food crappy?

Is there as an obsession over public transportation?

Is there an obsession over sustainability and green energy?
