Evil eyes seem to affect beautiful women who live average lives, very rarely famous women. I can’t explain the reasoning behind this. But unless you have been effected by it, you wouldn’t know. i heard a true story where a mother unintentionally gave the evil eye to her daughter on her wedding night admiring her beauty. The daughter lost her eyesight and the sheikhs said you won't be cured from blindness until the person who gave you the evil eye dies. When her mother died, her eye sight returned. The evil eye is real. Jinns can give the evil eye too. Even animals can give the evil eye if you mistreat them.

I will not take compliments when they are being said to me with depressing eyes and no masha’Allah. Like I can tell they don’t want me to have whatever it is they are ‘complimenting’, and that’s not a compliment. That is xaasidnimo!

They have done this to me ever since I befriended them, and I won’t take it anymore. I am a grown ass woman. I have told them countless of times; if you can’t bring yourself say masha’Allah, keep your damn compliments to yourself. I always make sure to say masha’Allah whenever I speak highly of someone. So why can’t they? They are clearly saying it to be shady.. and I won’t have it.

You go take the compliments then, if you think evil eyes is no biggie! Bye boy

I do walaal. My mother always tell me and my sisters about the importance of protecting yourself against evil eyes, as she has been affected by it herself, growing up. I don’t leave my house unless I do.

I have gotten smooth skin and hair comments as well. The hair is different people would literally just start feeling on my hair without even asking. It happens a lot during my high school years(I would forget to comb my hair in the mornings so sometimes my hair looked extra curly). I would be just chilling on the bus and some African American female would just start feeling my hair.

But I never knew people that were seriously jealous and pointed things out to me continuously. Get some new friends
