Its gullible people like you that are told "dont worry un, wfp and currupt multinationals companies will loft us put of poverty"
Didn't read all your comment I thought you were another Somalia should not use it's oil guy I agree with you 100%

You're comparing a first world nation with comparative neighbors with a country regaining its footing in hostile terrority :farole:

That's a new level of stupid :dabcasar:
Canada effectively used their resources to become a first world nation while Somalia decided not to use their resources.

While the rest of the world went through industrialization, for centuries Somalis discriminated against skilled labourers and looked down on fishing.

We can't blame anyone but ourselves for our present situation.

Bro you think foreign euro and american oil and gas hundred billion companies will want to be dictated to and held accountable by a third world shithole where most people live on less than a dollar a day?

Canada can defend it self and have great diplomatic reach plus are self sufficient in most sectors. They really are in a position to pick their partners. This only comes because their diplomacy is backed by their military.

Whereas somalia is different because they just need a dog who only cares about cash and government that has no influence over the nation. Nobody will lift you out of poverty. Only an honest national government can. We dont have that for now.

We don't need multi billion dollar companies to create an industrialized country.

What were Somalis doing when Russia, Japan, Singapore, China etc. industrialized their countries? They were living in much worse conditions than Somalis before they industrialized.

Since then we've been herding camels and have been doing the same shit since 3000BC.

Only the fish factory in las qoray that is still working since 91 because the local didn't destroy it but improved and worked in it even export it to Syria and Yemen. (Warsangeli and their entrepreneur spirit )

Food processing factories are a good start but it wasn't a major part of the economy.

Somalis never had a heavy industry.

One cement factory can't service an entire region. There's 3 of these cement plants in my neighbourhood alone.

We didn't need to import anything at that time, go to history section and watch the video of industrialization in Somalia.

The Barre government tried to make Somalia a self sufficient country but they failed in doing that. Somalia has always been an Import-Export country.

If we decided to industrialize and sell manufactured goods to the world instead of raw materials Somalia would be a relatively wealthy country.

I've heard that farmaajo will arrest corrupted ministers

We can exploit our oil and invest our people's education and standard of living

And lets not forget our coastline , arable land in the south , minerals in central region..

We have a lot of resource and I hope we can start exploiting in 2020 - 2025

That was our next step to export (countries like German was interested in processed meat factory that will import to Germany)but the regime got busy other issues like the opposition in north and internal security like failed coups/separation......etc. However even in 2000s that fish factory in las qoray was exporting to countries like Rwanda/Syria/Yemen while in other regions the factories were closed. The important thing now is to reopen all these closed factories by selling them to Somali businessmen.

All the factories were state owned in the socialist era. Socialism stagnated growth & people were barred from creating wealth. A few state owned factories here & there did not mean we were on the path of industrialization. The country still mostly exported raw materials for national income.

An export driven industrialization process would've generated a lot of wealth. Unfortunately, the socialist twat ruined it for us.
