"Garowe-(Puntland Mirror) Puntland’s director of the Presidency Deeq Suleiman Yousuf has resigned from his post on Saturday, according to resignation letter seen by Puntland Mirror.
“Dear President, hope you are doing. As per our discussion today, I am writing to inform you that I have resigned from my post as the chief of staff as from today, 25th on February, 2017. It has been my honor and privilege to serve you for three years.” The letter read.
In the letter, he did not mention the reason behind his resignation.
Mr. Deeq was appointed the director of the presidency by President Abdiweli Mohamed Ali in January of 2014."

"Close sources revealed that the President of semi-autonomous region of Puntland, Abdiwali Mohamed Ali “Gaas” was advised to relocate to Bosaso, the commercial city of Puntland region amid increase of opposition against his current administration, Garowe Online reports.
The sources indicated that state Parliament Speaker Ahmed Ali Hashi, has consulted the President Ali about the move but was strongly opposed by his Vice President Abdihakim Haji Omar who had rocky relationship with the President in the past months
Hashi informed Ali that current administration is facing stiff opposition in the capital Garowe after losing confidence from the public and state parliamentarians.
Bosaso city, which hosts the largest population in Puntland, considered an alternative solution for the President to end his term without encountering opposition oru till settling down the political storm."
