When did you visit Xamar? Was it back in 2010-2012? A couple of my friends was there back then and they say that it's a big difference from now alxamdullilah.

I went in 2014 summer during Ramadan time. Don't let my posts discourage you, Xamar is absolutely beautiful and its absolutely worth the visit and
the money. You definitely have to visit the beaches, i also was surprised at how beautiful the Isbahaysiga Mosque, it looked like a castle. Also just walking around the towns feels surreal because there is barely any pavement its mostly sand. Just don't be so trusting of people and always be suspicious of anything weird you notice. Also avoid going out at night as most crimes are committed at night time.

No-one will ask you your qabiil but it's best to stay with family or friends.

I went to Xeebta Liido yesterday wllhi it is the most beautiful place, with Somalis from all different tribes, people from bosaso kismayo, dibada, somaliland its a big lie that muqdisho is tribalist not one person asks what is your tribe!!

You can stay with anyone you want ,but even they will want some info about your background in case something goes terribly wrong (suppose you fall for the daughter of the family you are staying with and secretly marry her ). You will also need representatives or people that can vouch for you in the event of theft of your property ,disputes or you get arrested for something. Moreover ,the fact you are from the diaspora ,will mean that there are hordes of vampires and hustlers lying await like leeches ready to feast on you like a Jamaican eating ox tail. They will see you as a cash cow and only that .

If you insist on not getting for living with your tribe ,I would highly recommend asking for the info of of your friends relatives and then living as a guest with them . I applaud you dedication to Zion ,the mother land ,though.

A common technique used to rob people in muqdisho is threatening the target with a syringe that has blood. They will tell you that the blood has Aids and if you dont do what they say they will inject you. It's fucking horrible. Don't go alone.
