Also mention in 3 holy books Bible, Quran and Torah. One of the earliest adopters of Islam and Christianity. Has had a long line of kings lasting 3000 years old.

Mali/Songhai one of the richest civilisation at its time with the ability of destabilising nations with their charity. Mansa Musa was the richest person that ever lives. Also allegedly they cross the Atlantic ocean prior to Columbus. Created Timbuktu a great place where scholars all over came to learn and study.

They just moved into empty land and farmed.
The rest was sparse hunter gatherers.
