Did your parents plant presents in on the morning of the 25th?

No wonder some of you turned atheist and qoomu-luudh

Btw do some of you feel envy on anything abt this Christmas thing. Is it better than our Eid spirit? Would you adopt some ideas into our Eid?

I concretely wouldn't change anything about our Eid day celebration.

The part I loved the most was when, as a child, I would wake up so early to watch animals slaughtered. I particularly loved watching camels slaughtered.

Then I would go around to neighbors and trick and treat.

Then relative's visit our home and it was expected that they would hand out candy or little money.

Eid is boring af. Wallahi I never felt the Eid spirit even once we were in a Muslim country for eid. It's so dry. You should take a hint from Xmas and commercialize it.

eid's only boring if you make it boring

great come back.... What on earth is she talking about? It is commercialized as much as here. All the new products are out in the market.

Just cause you expect one form of commerce dont mean that it is commercialized. Yours is one that you think should be all over the tv while the ones back home is that you gotta get up and walk to the market.

It's a public holiday so we are having a family gathering as per usual. We don't celebrate christmas though, just taking advantage of the day off.

Sounds like someone never got eid gifts, or didn't get eid money :ileycry:.

Eid was a proper pay day when I was a kid. On a good eid I could collect $400. Wallahi I am not kidding. I could really feel dat eid spirit my nigga.

$400 :faysalwtf::ileycry: Does that mean I was from a dirt poor family. OH NOOO! im now recognizing that im from destitute background.

All I use to make was like $5

:farole::mugshotman:

btw why are you quoting me as if im anti-Eid..It is that little girl @VixR who has no spirit at all

If you mean attending the yearly Christmas party thrown by a company for the children of the employees then yes, we did celebrate Christmas, and it was damn fun too. The venues were always lit and they made us play games, there was magic shows, mini golf, buffet, and ofcourse santa would ride in on his camel throwing candy, pardon my nostalgia rambling but it's probably the best times of my life, just people from every race and religion having fun and socialising at the end of their work year :banderas:

And before you start any of that my father is a very religous man and himself only attended the event only 1 or twice. The reason diin ta katagney is much more complex than a case of Christmas spirit I'm afraid

You can go about saying the delusional reasons that you perceive to have made you lose the righteous religion but it is evident that this loose control by your parents have contributed to eternal qasaaro. Kulahaa I was allowed to be at Christmas celebration and yet that is not the main cause

It was all good until I started transitioning into adulthood. You have to pay, you can no longer collect. Today I play wheres wally on eid. If you find you get paid, but gl finding me. Lol
:lolbron::lolbron::lolbron:
