Ethiopia already has a stragery on this that is we ally with Al Shaabab and we arm against ISIS and let them fight against ISIS and let Amisom do air strikes on them. This may actually help Al Shaabab and it's relationship with Africa they may become a friend rather than an enemy.
Arming Al-Shabaab would only benefit Ethiopia not us, they already have plans to divide Somalia between Ethiopia and Kenya using Al-Shabaab and some traitors among us. They'd reck havoc not just on South Somalia but it might reach the North.
You would rather be captured by ISIS! We will let Ethiopia arm Al Shaabab and we will make temporary alliance if we have too and you have ot understand Al Shaabab doesn't want a Global Caliphate they are nationalistic like Hamas.
A nationlist movement wouldn't kill their own people, if they were nationlists like Hamas they'd go and fight to free our lands from the enemies they're not doing that they're thugs tbh.
hamas is a lot more reasonable i don't think any alliance with shabaab will work as they consider the whole somali government apostates.
Well they are considered apostates by ISIS so yea we are in the same boat.
