,It's one thing to steal and short change from others, and it's another thing to short change and steal from yourself. Many old and young Somalis shortage their potential to create wealth by trying to "finesse" the system and in turn finesse themselves. Here are three ways Somalis Tuug themselves.
1. Student Loan Qarxiis:
This is probably one the most ridiculous ways to steal from your own time and disrespect your future self. Many Somalis students take student loans and end up buying depreciating assets like a car, clothes and anything that has to do with shortterm gain. What kind of Neef ends up on their final year before graduation, just take that loan and blow it on a Meher? I have witnessed this and it's one example of how farsighted some Somalis can be.
2. Credit Card Qarxiis:
Have you ever had a friend who received a credit card and said "I'm gonna Qarxii this". This could very well be the same Xoolo who is on his 3rd Year in Uni and is about to destroy his credit before entering the work force after completing graduation. Anyone who Qarxiis his credit will Qarxiis there network and burn their bridges. Stay away from these types of individuals.
3. The Time Tuug:
This one is a post on its own. Somali men and women suffer from time tuuging. Poor time management is the easiest thing to spot in Somalis and determine who you should spend your time with and network with. If someone is sitting in a Sheesha bar for four hours, going clubbing Monday-Sunday or taking selfies at home during work hours, how can you keep these people in your contact list? Many young and old Somalis love hanging with Time Tuugs. These individuals have ways of finding each other in coffee shops, sheesha bars, clubs and condos filled with 4-5 roommates. Stay away from Time Tuugs.
If you are on SSpot and it's one of your many tabs open on your laptop then it's okay to indulge in banter and laughter as long your finish your daily tasks. However, if you are on here constantly posting negative content and thinking it's your way to pass time during work hours than you are mistaken. The biggest Tuug is that person you meet every morning when you brush your ilig.
