The Ministry has dispatched the exam papers to all the regions and within the next few days, young Puntites will sit their final exams.
Puntland National Examination Board is the most organised and cohesive part of our government.
For 5 years now, they have successfully carried out national exams, state wide, these exams are in-line with the centralised curriculum of Puntland. The Ministry ensures that the entire process is organised, professional and transparent.
The Ministry also ensures that all the teachers are fully trained, usually these training sessions are held in Garowe.

Puntland is famous for having the best schools in Somalia, one of them is in Bur-Salaax Mudug.

Let's hope the Ministry of Education receives more funding. We need vocational schools asap though to counter the unemployment problem.
Yes, we have a large population of educated people but most of these young people need manual skills.
Hopefully the vocational school that is supposed to be built in Gaalkacyo, gets built quickly and is managed by the MOE and not a private/foreign company.

I agree, vocational subjects are just as important as academic subjects imo. We can take the German approach by promoting technical/manual skills based vocational subjects to build up a future workforce for factories & to build infrastructure etc.

Agreed.

That's the only real and lasting solution to the pressing unemployment/tahriib issue.
Thankfully it is in the works!

Waba la ilbaxay, you eat lobster now? :ohhh:

Eyl makes much of its revenues from exporting frozen lobster tails to the UAE via air freight. The new road to Garowe and the airport in Garowe should make it more profitable. Lobster is big business in Garacad and Eyl.
