Well, weep for my millennial friends. From the least attractive to the most beautiful who gets compliments from children, women and men are in a similar boat. Before I got married, it was a shit show. I could write a book from my experiences. I don’t want to stereotype Somali Millennial men, but it’s terrible from what I could see, although it’s good to have hope. I’m sure there are amazing men out there. I truly blame the low expectations of Somali parents and how they parent their sons vs daughters.
Also, the limited decent men who aren’t even that attractive now have a lot of options. It’s skewered the courting market now since even women who are beautiful with good personalities will struggle and be dangled by some men who think that their bare minimum means they’re the greatest ever. It’s to the point that a Somali girl marrying out might even be a good option.

It’s a numbers game. Start early. Get to know people through friends and family and jump on apps as well (many people I know got married through there).

Whats wrong with trade jobs? most somali women end up with average jobs post uni anyway that dont pay higher than trade jobs, very few get high paying like doctors get.

Somali parents tend to fail their sons when it comes to establishing high standards, the mothers babying and coddling their sons whilst the fathers are either totally non-existant or else having no idea how to be a father. It's funny because iv'e always had a good work ethic and im pretty much positive the fact that my mother never even gave me meagre amounts of attention or anything remotley closley to the treatment most of the other somalis in my neighbourhood has a part to play in this.
